Where's Truman 2 - Martha's Vineyard Adventure

Every summer vacation the kids and I make a short movie. 

This year's film is a sequel to last year's called - Where's Truman 2.

It was Produced, Written, and Performed by the Nocera and Guidice Family children. 

Synopsis:
Truman escapes from the older kids who are supposed to be watching him and goes on an adventurous tour of the Vineyard.


 

Leaving Vieques Today

We leave Vieques today and head back to San Juan this morning. It's been an beautiful week of fun in the sun! I can' t wait to put together a vacation highlight reel! Here's the amazing sunset from last night!

Tropical Storm Chantal is heading our way!

This morning I shot some timelapse to try and see any of the rain bands from Tropical Storm Chantal. She should pass to our South but winds will be building to 30-40 MPH tonight with up to 6 inches of rain over the next 24 Hours. Should be fun. . .

La Playa Chiva

We headed out to La Playa Chiva today in the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge. As we pulled into the Wildlife Refuge we noticed a small sign the Navy had left up that said the beach was closed but after visiting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services the woman told us "The Blue beach and todas las playas are no longer called by their Navy names - they're called by their original names - and thanks for reminding me to take down the sign!" We left and drove down a long unpaved dirt road with butterflies and wild horses everywhere and finally made it to La Playa Chiva! It is an amazing beach with the bluest water and we had the place to ourselves!

Today is Truman's 2nd Birthday! Truman is currently relaxing in Vieques Puerto Rico after partying and dancing for a week straight at his cousin Jose and Liz Rio's wedding in San Juan!

Destination Wedding - Puerto Rico!

Last September we received an email from my first cousin Liz and her boyfriend Jose.

They had some exciting news for the family!

Her email read - " Hi Everyone As you all know Jose and I got engaged last Saturday!!! We are so happy and so excited to start planning our wedding.  Most of you know that Jose and I have decided on having a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. All of you being my close family and friends I wanted to of course share this news with you first and send out an informal invitation to our wedding."

Jeannie then says in classic form  "If we're going to bring our family all the way to Puerto Rico, for a wedding let's stay longer and make it a vacation!!" She immediately went online to start researching houses to rent in Puerto Rico.  Her favorite sites are VRBO and Home Away

We also told our friends about the adventure we were about to plan in Puerto Rico and asked if they'd like to rent a house with us. . . They said "Yes".  Jeannie and Izzi then worked their magic and found the perfect place in Vieques (Click to see House)




So we leave on Monday July 1, 2013 for San Juan, Puerto Rico and Liz and Jose's wedding on the beach.  Then on Saturday, July 6th we head to Fajardo and take a ferry to Vieques.  Stay Tuned for more on our trip!
